Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 2nd minute of play forced Benfica de Penafirme's goalkeeper Silvano Fragoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvano Fragoso. Silvano Fragoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Silvano Fragoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvano Fragoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvano Fragoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fridun Schwemer in the 18th minute of play. When Benfica de Penafirme's Raúl Cruz in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raúl Cruz to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Cruz in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Benfica de Penafirme's goalkeeper Silvano Fragoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After a defensive mix-up in Benfica de Penafirme's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvano Fragoso came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Ponte in the 68th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Fragoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvano Fragoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Cruz in the 80th minute of play. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvano Fragoso. Silvano Fragoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Benfica de Penafirme booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 played minutes Benfica de Penafirme got a freekick which was hit by Varban Tzúrkov. Daniel Zorita scored 0-5 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvano Fragoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Benfica de Penafirme fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
