Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafael Loyola. Werneck FC - DMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rafael Loyola came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Werneck FC - DMZ's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Loyola came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Loyola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 20th match minute, Werneck FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséas Urbano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Rafael Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Werneck FC - DMZ's Fernando Vinhas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 26 minutes into the match Fernando Vinhas climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Julio Vera. After a defensive mix-up in Werneck FC - DMZ's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Loyola came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When Fernando Vinhas fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Werneck FC - DMZ's protests and gave Fernando Vinhas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Werneck FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Fernando Vinhas hit a great ball. Rafael Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. 39 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Werneck FC - DMZ's Rafael Loyola. Rafael Loyola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Loyola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The Werneck FC - DMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 1-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernando Vinhas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rafael Loyola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Rafael Loyola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 63 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafael Loyola having to make a save. In the 72nd minute, Antonio Arias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael Loyola was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. 82 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-9. Rafael Loyola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 1-10 when Daniel Zorita sped through Werneck FC - DMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Loyola. Daniel Zorita was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rafael Loyola came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-11.
