The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Inter Miami booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olaf Brytka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 84 minutes into the game, when Alexander Carballo put in a rough tackle. In the 84th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. The referee gave Inter Miami a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ludomil Banas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. 1-4. Inter Miami's Wasyl Zahemski got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldemar Walkowski in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
