When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Dorival Sarmento put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. In the 17th minute, Dorival Sarmento made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Nicolae Ceaușescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Dorival Sarmento notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Campos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolae Ceaușescu in the 27th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes of play, FC Hamunaptra's Dorival Sarmento made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Njoroge in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. In the 32ndth minute of the game Omar Njoroge who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 37th minute, Dorival Sarmento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Hamunaptra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolae Ceaușescu in the 41st minute of the match. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Hamunaptra's Nicolae Ceaușescu got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Eduardo Dorado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Dorival Sarmento notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Paraguay's Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half FC Hamunaptra were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Jacobo Nores managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when FC Hamunaptra's Dorival Sarmento fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 55th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Campos to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, FC Hamunaptra's Dorival Sarmento dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. In the 64th minute, Xavier Zoido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dorival Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Hamunaptra's Dorival Sarmento. But to his dismay, Dorival Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorival Sarmento in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the game, Nicolae Ceaușescu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Alan Campos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A throw-in in the 81st minute of the game was made by Omar Njoroge with Kalonzo Shah as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Paraguay's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dorival Sarmento 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-12. When Nicolae Ceaușescu came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the FC Hamunaptra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolae Ceaușescu couldn't finish the play. Dorival Sarmento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. Dorival Sarmento struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Hamunaptra would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
