The goal made the score 1-0. Felix Sundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fred Hellqvist quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Kumla BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Ahlqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Fred Hellqvist made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Salqvist in the 14th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Kumla BK's Fred Hellqvist got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Fred Hellqvist made a huge save. A collision led to Kumla BK getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Felix Sundberg hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fred Hellqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Kumla BK's Fred Hellqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. Felix Sundberg hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A hard shot 28 in the game by Cristian Sancho from a close distance when the talented Fred Hellqvist managed to make a qualified save. Kumla BK's players were relieved. 33 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Per Forss came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute David Östman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Kumla BK's goalkeeper Fred Hellqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 43rd minute, Alvin Bäckman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Hellqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Fred Hellqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Hellqvist having to interfere. Fred Hellqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Forss, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Forss in the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fred Hellqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Calle Vester charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calle Vester the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Fred Hellqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Calle Vester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Calle Vester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
