Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Samuel Farmer got the match started through his kick off. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 8 minutes in the game Milagros Fraga managed to make a good shot after having fooling the defense, but Marcus Deacon was perfectly placed and made a save by the left post. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Farmer's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 18th match minute, Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Symons to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Deacon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mayo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Marcus Deacon made a huge save. The supporters of Peru booed when Mayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnnie Osbourn didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Peru's Luz Tejedor ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcus Deacon. Marcus Deacon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Farmer got free with Rolando Noboa in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when William Symons tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 63 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amílton Siqueira made in the 69th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Steve Oliver immediately put the ball in play. In the 72nd match minute, Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlie Chamberlain to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute of the match Luz Tejedor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Deacon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marcus Deacon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 80th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Deacon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlie Chamberlain to maneuver through the defense. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. A collision led to Mayo getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Charlie Chamberlain hit a great ball. Eliseo Mina, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rafael Gallo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Deacon having to interfere.
