Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Balesio Esperta spun around in front of the goal 5 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Panama's goal. A collision led to Sabucedo AD getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Silvano Quintela hit a great ball. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Flores having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Atilio Folch in the 24th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balesio Esperta. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Valentin Ercoli took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Marcos Cotilla to make any attempt to save it. Bernardino Piorno took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Ercoli in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Saturnino Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 56th minute of the match. Saturnino Flores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Abraham Alguacil almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sabucedo AD's Saturnino Flores did a great save. In the 63rd minute Valentin Ercoli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Sabucedo AD's goalkeeper Saturnino Flores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balesio Esperta in the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sabucedo AD made a substitution. Jonathan Calleri replaced Atilio Folch. Sabucedo AD's Demario Cuadrado was substituted for Bernardino Piorno. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Saturnino Flores successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ziyad Khlifi's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ziyad Khlifi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sabucedo AD getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ziyad Khlifi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 78th minute of play forced Sabucedo AD's goalkeeper Saturnino Flores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Calleri scored 4-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 93 minutes into the match, Valentin Ercoli notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Tomas Berganza fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Tomas Berganza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Berganza to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sabucedo AD fully deserved thier win.
