Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Rickard Lundgren sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Kingpins getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Nils-Emil Ahlstedt hit a great ball. Julian Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brendan Leblanc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Julian Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roger Västerstrand in the 10th minute. Peru's Luz Tejedor got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The throw-in from Arrigo Tonon in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 19th minute, Eliseo Mina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brendan Leblanc was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Roger Västerstrand tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Västerstrand in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Kingpins's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Brendan Leblanc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Kingpins's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Alonso Berganza got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 0-3. 33 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes Kingpins got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Emil Ahlstedt. In the 43rd minute, Efraim Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute of the match Stiff Rambo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Noboa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Kingpins defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brendan Leblanc. The Kingpins fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brendan Leblanc should have stopped the shot. After the first half Peru were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rickard Lundgren to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Rickard Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brendan Leblanc came out and tried to block the shot, but Luz Tejedor slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guo Ke Peng in the 56th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan Leblanc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl Trulsson kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Milagros Fraga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Brendan Leblanc firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Roger Västerstrand, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 67 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rolando Noboa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 69th match minute, Kingpins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Trulsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan Leblanc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Västerstrand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Kingpins's Brendan Leblanc got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kingpins's Bo Kruuse was substituted for Roger Västerstrand. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. The corner ended in Eliseo Mina almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kingpins's Brendan Leblanc did a great save. Brendan Leblanc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Gallo in the 91st minute. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendan Leblanc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play.
