In the 41st minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stipe Pletikosa skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Fortuna 86 Szczecin's Skapti Škarpa got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Stipe Pletikosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 57th minute of play. Stipe Pletikosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Harun Mengüer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 86 minute of play.
