In the 43rd minute of the match Joar Dahlquist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Higher booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Axel Tasis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Bäckström having to interfere. Axel Tasis ran back to his position shaking his head. A well placed Wictor Morat short distance shot in the 75th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. 80 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of FC Higher's Harry Bäckström. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Higher the free kick.
