Alberto Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Patrício Manso in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. In the 31st minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th match minute, USC Paredes Harammes SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sima Alexandru to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isac Vilela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 37th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Brito in the 44th minute of play. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Patrício Manso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tadeo Leobardo in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ola Rede in the 70th minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Tadeo Leobardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Patrício Manso kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isac Vilela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though USC Paredes Harammes SS had controlled the match.
