Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Per Forss kicked off to start the match. After 9 played minutes Kumla BK got a freekick which was hit by Felix Sundberg. After a defensive mix-up in Kumla BK's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Hellqvist came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fred Hellqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Kumla BK's goalkeeper Fred Hellqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Fred Hellqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. A nice corner shot did that Calle Vester got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Calle Vester's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Julio Vera - 1-1 was put on the score board in the 35th minute. A collision led to Kumla BK getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Felix Sundberg hit a great ball. After 42 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. In the 43rd minute of the match Calle Vester shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 45 minutes, David Östman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kumla BK and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Kumla BK getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. David Östman hit a great ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Kumla BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Fred Hellqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fred Hellqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 54th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Hellqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Hellqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
