The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute of the match Peru got a corner. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo Mina got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cosimo Mascia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 8th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Cosimo Mascia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosimo Mascia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Paulinho Nóbrega got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Cosimo Mascia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play forced LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goalkeeper Cosimo Mascia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Hüseyin Eroğlu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A throw-in in the 37th minute of the game was made by Alonso Berganza with Moises Gayoso as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 45 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cosimo Mascia. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Peru's Alonso Berganza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guntademaro Pena, made in the 56th minute of the game. Hüseyin Eroğlu made in the 58th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Milan Froněk. 68 minutes into the match, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Cosimo Mascia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Milagros Fraga suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Paulinho Nóbrega charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulinho Nóbrega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Hong Sha Sang was substituted for Karl Souvignet. In the 75th minute, Paulinho Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's Paulinho Nóbrega got a free kick in the 80th minute. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Herbert Carette in the 86 minute of the game. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noureddine Sanchis, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With an all-out effort, Peru's Cosimo Mascia threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliseo Mina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noureddine Sanchis's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO's goalkeeper Cosimo Mascia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The LA RABIA DEL PUEBLO fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
