Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Gilespie in the 8th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Rangers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Finlay Stair came free, but Fergus Fairbairn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Rangers FC booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romon Oliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 13 played minutes, Rangers FC's Bradley Carr shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rangers FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Gilespie in the 16th minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Angus Howison made a precise shot to the right of Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a little luck, Rangers FC's Fergus Fairbairn got control of the ball when Jarell Hill tried to sneak it across the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, Tim Charles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rangers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jamaica the free kick. In the 46th minute, Tim Charles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Danny Gilespie made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Jamaica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jamaall Padmore to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Gilespie came free, but Demonde Jacobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Jamaica from getting a goal against them. Demonde Jacobson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stevie McGilvray showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 67 minute of play. Darius Bontine was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Rangers FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Darius Bontine hit a great ball. Finlay Stair took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fergus Fairbairn. Fergus Fairbairn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Demonde Jacobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Gilespie in the 83rd minute of play. Romon Oliver kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Demonde Jacobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danny Gilespie in the 85th minute. Stevie McGilvray received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Demonde Jacobson came out and tried to block the shot, but Stevie McGilvray slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 94th minute. Rangers FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
