Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Danny Gilespie started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Eduardo Fontirroig notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Rangers FC's Fergus Fairbairn. Fergus Fairbairn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an all-out effort, Bolivia's Fergus Fairbairn threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eduardo Fontirroig, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 8 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso de la Cruz. If Danny Gilespie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Freixa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stevie McGilvray, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Tim Charles made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Bolivia's Julio Chicote. Bolivia's Alfonso de la Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Gilespie in the 45th minute of play forced Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Fontirroig took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fergus Fairbairn. Fergus Fairbairn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. A hard shot 55 in the game by Danny Gilespie from a close distance when the talented Camilo Freixa managed to make a qualified save. Bolivia's players were relieved. Rangers FC's Angus Howison pulled a muscle in his back after 57 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 57 minutes, Alejandro Villa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bolivia and the Rangers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rangers FC made a substitution. Logan McCubbin replaced Angus Howison. In the 58th match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Villa to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 59 minutes, Tim Charles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rangers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tim Charles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Tim Charles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rangers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bolivia the free kick. Tim Charles kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Fergus Fairbairn came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig. But to his dismay, Eduardo Fontirroig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Logan McCubbin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camilo Freixa having to make a save. Rangers FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
