Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 莫天勇, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, 庞城梁 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 刘斐斐 came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Isidoro Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Aaron Barrios hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Chorche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Cotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 庞城梁 went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the 巴黎圣日尔曼 defense, Abraham Alguacil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 刘斐斐. The 巴黎圣日尔曼 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 刘斐斐 should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Panama booed when 巴黎圣日尔曼 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. 黄云国 didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to 巴黎圣日尔曼 getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Eduard Răduț hit a great ball. Abraham Alguacil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when 庞城梁 came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 巴黎圣日尔曼's 刘斐斐 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Miralles in the 42nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 庞城梁 was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by 黄云国 in the 51st minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of 巴黎圣日尔曼 booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Ros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 黄云国, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 莫天勇 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. In the 67th minute Alex Cambeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 刘斐斐 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Abraham Alguacil hit a great ball. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 庞城梁 in the 70th minute of the match. The supporters of 巴黎圣日尔曼 booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Garrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Abraham Alguacil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the game, one of 巴黎圣日尔曼:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 刘斐斐 came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. 庞博森's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 庞博森 helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Panama had won after a very even match.
