Berthold Bach was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Monty Rogers in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Berthold Bach prevented the ball from getting in the gole. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Nixon in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Nixon in the 31st minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of USA booed when SV Klingsmoos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When Anselmo Valentine fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Klingsmoos's protests and gave Anselmo Valentine a yellow card for diving instead. Anselmo Valentine hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. SV Klingsmoos made a substitution. Erik Amend replaced Anselmo Valentine. In the 54th minute, Anselmo Valentine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 56th minute of play forced SV Klingsmoos's goalkeeper Berthold Bach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SV Klingsmoos were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ghitã Pârlea took the corner. After taking down the ball on SV Klingsmoos's corner Ghitã Pârlea fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marco Day quite easily take care of the ball. David Lebon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berthold Bach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Edward Mcdonald had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Berthold Bach. SV Klingsmoos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Mcdonald was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Berthold Bach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sam Campbell, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After some careless play in the USA defense, Torsten Henning kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Nixon in the 88th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Zach Harrison. After 94 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Jenson Smith. There was no doubt that USA were the better team. USA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
