Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Pepe Toxeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonardo Leoz kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Tapia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Pepe Toxeiro made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Renato Tapia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Club Celta de Vigo's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Tapia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Real Club Celta de Vigo from getting a goal against them. Pepe Toxeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Club Celta de Vigo's Renato Tapia. But to his dismay, Renato Tapia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Tapia in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. Pepe Toxeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Ferman Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Rubén Blanco hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 54th minute. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 60th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Toxeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepe Toxeiro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Real Club Celta de Vigo's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pepe Toxeiro came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Rubén Blanco got a free kick in the 67th minute. Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Renato Tapia made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 76 minutes into the match, Real Club Celta de Vigo's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Pepe Toxeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes in the game Macos Graciani did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Joel Gaona. After 84 played minutes Real Club Celta de Vigo got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Araujo. In the 88th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macos Graciani to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Everardo Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Club Celta de Vigo's supporters rose to their feet, but Everardo Arias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pepe Toxeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Arias in the 96th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chants of Real Club Celta de Vigo echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Mexico had held the ball for most of the match.
