Sulo Montaña in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 26th minute Pascual Carballar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buturugã saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Sulo Montaña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. But to his dismay, Sulo Montaña quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. LOI made a substitution. Metin Semi replaced Kaan Öztanır. Colombia made a substitution. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sulo Montaña in the 73rd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Buturugã took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Mastache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özgür Özbay, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute.
