But to his dismay, Aldas Alvinskas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Konstantinas Malevičius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Aldas Alvinskas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Konstantinas Malevičius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aldas Alvinskas got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in LFK Spyris's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Konstantinas Malevičius came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vilius Alkevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldas Alvinskas, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aldas Alvinskas went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute Vilius Alkevičius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Venezuela booed when LFK Spyris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilius Alkevičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, LFK Spyris's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Konstantinas Malevičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes LFK Spyris's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Konstantinas Malevičius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vitoldas Misius kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 86th minute, Aldas Alvinskas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LFK Spyris fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. LFK Spyris made a substitution. Virgilijus Zabulis replaced Aldas Alvinskas. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Virgilijus Zabulis put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. There was no doubt that LFK Spyris were the better team. LFK Spyris's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
