Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Renato Tapia got the match started through his kick off. Renato Tapia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Tapia in the 6th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Renato Tapia made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Tapia in the 30th minute of play. Poli Urquijo got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Renato Tapia. Esteban Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Tapia came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute Renato Tapia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renato Tapia scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 43 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Tapia came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes, Renato Tapia made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Real Club Celta de Vigo were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Renato Tapia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Poli Urquijo in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Club Celta de Vigo's Renato Tapia. But to his dismay, Renato Tapia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. If Renato Tapia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Tapia in the 72nd minute of play. After 75 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Valentín Carvallo. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Arias in the 82nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Calisto Camacho in the 90th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Christian Sancho. Pepe Toxeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 92 minutes on the clock, Ferman Torres commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 91st minute, one of Real Club Celta de Vigo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Club Celta de Vigo. The referee gave Honduras a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edmundo Espiga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro. 1-9. In the 96th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Although Honduras had been in control for most of the match, Real Club Celta de Vigo still came away with the win.
