Gustaw Lech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Gustaw Lech didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Siekierka in the 9th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeusz Siekierka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Antoni Bubczyk reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-1. When FC Saxon's Tadeusz Siekierka in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 28 minutes, Tadeusz Siekierka made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustaw Lech prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Saxon's goalkeeper Gustaw Lech, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 40 played minutes FC Saxon got a freekick which was hit by Karol Gendolla. 41 minutes into the match, FC Saxon's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Gustaw Lech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Gustaw Lech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Saxon's goalkeeper Gustaw Lech, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Antonio Arias fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Antonio Arias a yellow card for diving instead. When Karol Gendolla came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the FC Saxon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karol Gendolla couldn't finish the play. Gustaw Lech made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cyprian Gamza during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Saxon's Cyprian Gamza got a free kick in the 62nd minute. FC Saxon's Szczepan Niemoj was substituted for Gilbert Dziuma. Cyprian Gamza hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 66th match minute, FC Saxon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeusz Siekierka to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeusz Siekierka in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustaw Lech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeusz Siekierka in the 70th minute of play. Gustaw Lech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gustaw Lech in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gustaw Lech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 89th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karol Gendolla during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th match minute, FC Saxon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyprian Gamza to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Szczepan Niemoj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
