Guillermo Marin might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Noel Seide. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guillermo Marin ran back to his position shaking his head. The throw-in from Calisto Camacho in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Haiti's Rodney Emmanuel. Renato Tapia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Noel Seide read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Renato Tapia put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Noel Seide. After 17 minutes of play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Renato Tapia made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Noel Seide was left in no man's land by his defense there! Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubén Blanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After some careless play in the Haiti defense, Renato Tapia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Noel Seide. The Haiti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Noel Seide should have stopped the shot. If Guillermo Marin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Calisto Camacho threw the ball into play from the sideline. Haiti's Rodney Emmanuel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The Real Club Celta de Vigo fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Real Club Celta de Vigo's Renato Tapia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Renato Tapia struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Noel Seide didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Club Celta de Vigo. Renato Tapia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Tapia, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Rubén Blanco took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Noel Seide. Noel Seide dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. After the first half Real Club Celta de Vigo were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Alphonse to strike the kick off in the second half. Renato Tapia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 55th minute, Renato Tapia made a precise shot to the right of Noel Seide. Haiti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Renato Tapia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Noel Seide having to make a save. 69 minutes into the game, Renato Tapia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Noel Seide was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd minute, Renato Tapia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Club Celta de Vigo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Real Club Celta de Vigo made a substitution. Unai Nuñez replaced Cordera Unzueta. Rubén Blanco's late challenge caught a Haiti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rubén Blanco helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Everardo Arias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Noel Seide was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After having played for 88 minutes, Everardo Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Club Celta de Vigo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Everardo Arias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Noel Seide, 0-11. Real Club Celta de Vigo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
