Cyryl Chazen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 8th minute of the match. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armin Auru went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 20th minute Armin Auru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Gisbert during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens Berggren's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Maximiliano Escribano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute Jens Berggren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Usub Saia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hardo Laos's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hardo Laos helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Legion Etrangere got a freekick which was hit by Hardo Laos. After 40 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Carballal. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyryl Chazen having to interfere. Usub Saia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Seco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cyryl Chazen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The Uruguay players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Legion Etrangere were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Usub Saia came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Legion Etrangere fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Usub Saia couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Legion Etrangere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aare Lehismets didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cyryl Chazen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Legion Etrangere's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Cyryl Chazen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 63rd minute of play forced Legion Etrangere's goalkeeper Cyryl Chazen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens Berggren might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens Berggren ran back to his position shaking his head. Cyryl Chazen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 67th minute of play forced Legion Etrangere's goalkeeper Cyryl Chazen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Alberto Gisbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Usub Saia in the 89th minute of play. The Uruguay supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Legion Etrangere's performance. The match ended with a win for Legion Etrangere.
