The supporters of Burning Angels booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Burning Angels getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Thanks to some nice moves Miroslav Šípka could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Pepito Santandres took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Miroslav Šípka tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Burning Angels played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
