In the 47th minute, Leopoldo Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darryl Buckner in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Santo Libertad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Abram Sarmiento made a precise shot to the right of Victoriano Bernaldo. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Victoriano Bernaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Dep Colonia Avellaneda from getting a goal against them. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Santo Libertad. But to his dismay, Santo Libertad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Dep Colonia Avellaneda were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claudio Cerritos took the corner. Dep Colonia Avellaneda's Claudio Cerritos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darryl Buckner in the 74th minute of the match. When Santo Libertad came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Dep Colonia Avellaneda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Libertad couldn't finish the play. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ignacio Mastache ran back to his position shaking his head. If Abram Secada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Mastache struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Victoriano Bernaldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. 93 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Libertad came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Santo Libertad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. In the 95th minute, Vasile Tufescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
