After 4 played minutes Di Röe got a freekick which was hit by Zhu Bin Le. 10 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that George Kristiansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without George Kristiansson having to make a save. George Kristiansson made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute, Zhu Bin Le hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Di Röe's George Kristiansson got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute, Sten Melberg made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, Di Röe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zhu Bin Le to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Di Röe booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Carballar didn't get a good kick on the ball. George Kristiansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Casaus in the 38th minute. Sten Melberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Melberg came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sten Melberg took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

George Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Lacasa in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Kristiansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but George Kristiansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Di Röe's George Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 77th minute of play. The supporters of Chile booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhu Bin Le didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Zhu Bin Le fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Di Röe's protests and gave Zhu Bin Le a yellow card for diving instead. Mariano Lacasa took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Kristiansson. George Kristiansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Although Chile had been in control for most of the match, Di Röe still came away with the win.
