Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mikolaj Jerzyk quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 13th match minute, Newcastle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Paulo Zonta to maneuver through the defense. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Mexico's Luca Rouco getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. But to his dismay, Adam Pacholewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Mikolaj Jerzyk threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 70th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
