Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, BESTIA GDAŃSK's Bartosz Gad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
51 minutes into the match, BESTIA GDAŃSK's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Leszek Huchro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szymon Maziarski in the 57th minute of play. BESTIA GDAŃSK were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victorio Bertin took the corner. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Leszek Huchro made a huge save. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Mexico booed when BESTIA GDAŃSK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyryl Tyszka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. BESTIA GDAŃSK's Leszek Huchro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save BESTIA GDAŃSK from getting a goal against them. Leszek Huchro was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Joel Gaona capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Gaona really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. The corner led BESTIA GDAŃSK's Victorio Bertin to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. BESTIA GDAŃSK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick.
