Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Linus Scholtz took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 11th match minute, Emürspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Menios Balarinas to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute really tested Ubelteso Fontiveros's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ubelteso Fontiveros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Linus Scholtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Scholtz in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Emürspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hubertus Burger to maneuver through the defense. Ubelteso Fontiveros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ubelteso Fontiveros could save by the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ubelteso Fontiveros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Emürspor's goalkeeper Ubelteso Fontiveros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. 37 minutes into the match, Emürspor's goalkeeper Ubelteso Fontiveros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Linus Scholtz's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Josip Schlebusch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josip Schlebusch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half Emürspor were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Linus Scholtz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 52nd minute of play forced Emürspor's goalkeeper Ubelteso Fontiveros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubelteso Fontiveros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 68th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ubelteso Fontiveros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Hubertus Burger tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 75 minutes Emürspor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ubelteso Fontiveros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Emürspor's Ubelteso Fontiveros did a great save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linus Scholtz in the 88th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Linus Scholtz, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
