With a left leg Hayrullah İrfanoğlu saved Carno FK from getting behind. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Carno FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 45th minute of play forced Carno FK's goalkeeper Hayrullah İrfanoğlu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hayrullah İrfanoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 46th minute of the match. Hayrullah İrfanoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Carno FK's Vecdet Seyfeddin was substituted for Cameron Pruett.
