Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alvin Viru's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Jaroslaw Komanski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 22nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Alvin Viru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dilmen Parshan in the 38 minute of the game. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edy Mondino, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Alvin Viru scored 2-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Alvin Viru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ioan Felix who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Rolando Noboa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubert Pentjärv in the 87th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Goodfellas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
