When Guararapes's Ragıp Işık in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 5th minute of play forced Guararapes's goalkeeper Romeu Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ragıp Işık, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 11th minute of play forced Guararapes's goalkeeper Romeu Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragıp Işık, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeu Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 14th minute of the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Peru's Julian Murillo in the 16th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Romeu Guedes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Guararapes through an amazing save. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeu Guedes came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Eliseo Mina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Romeu Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 31st minute of the match. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Romeu Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Guararapes's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Romeu Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Guararapes getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Tenorio Urrue hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeu Guedes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romeu Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ragıp Işık's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Romeu Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guararapes's Ragıp Işık got a free kick in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 70th minute of play forced Guararapes's goalkeeper Romeu Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. In the 84th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Guararapes's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Peru's Eliseo Mina to fire away a dangerous shot which Romeu Guedes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 85th match minute, Guararapes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Cardozo to maneuver through the defense. Romeu Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Gallo in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vinicio Bermudo in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Peru's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Vinicio Bermudo scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Noboa, making the score, 2-1. Guararapes's Cristian Cordoba was substituted for Vinicio Bermudo. 94 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when José Pedro Cardozo came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes Guararapes got a freekick which was hit by Dida Pena. Peru walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
