The corner went over the outstretched arms of Colombia's goalie and right to Ödön Szily. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Colombia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Pedro Manzanares was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Nisar Burkart capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nisar Burkart really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andriy Lunin was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 21 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Andriy Lunin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, David Elodio notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kevin Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andriy Lunin having to interfere. The supporters of Colombia booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Melber didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andriy Lunin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Andriy Lunin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Colombia's Axel Montenegro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nisar Burkart in the 53rd minute of the match. Andriy Lunin came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Axel Montenegro. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 59th minute, David Elodio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Axel Montenegro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Andriy Lunin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Niculae Ungureanu took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 66th minute of the match, Axel Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Andriy Lunin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Brufau in the 70th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Andriy Lunin in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andriy Lunin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 75th minute of play. In the 80th minute Niculae Ungureanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when David Elodio came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Siegfried Danielzick was substituted for Nemanja Vidić. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. had played much better football throughout.
