The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Thomas. The supporters of Sheep United booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sheldon Cooper in the 34th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sheldon Cooper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Isidoro Thomas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isidoro Thomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Sheep United were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
