Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Michel Agüero kicked off to start the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Doriva Figueiredo made a huge save. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Agüero in the 5th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Michel Agüero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 9th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Doriva Figueiredo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Doriva Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. In the 16th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Jucuitiba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Doriva Figueiredo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Doriva Figueiredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 24th minute. 24 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Doriva Figueiredo. Felix Montenegro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Agüero in the 28th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Luis Andino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Jucuitiba's Doriva Figueiredo did a great save. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doriva Figueiredo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 56th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Jucuitiba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Jucuitiba's Doriva Figueiredo managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doriva Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Róbson Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doriva Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Jucuitiba's Michel Agüero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of play forced Jucuitiba's goalkeeper Doriva Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doriva Figueiredo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Agüero came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doriva Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jucuitiba's Róbson Abreu got a free kick in the 69th minute. Doriva Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doriva Figueiredo. Doriva Figueiredo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doriva Figueiredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro suffered a sore thigh after 86 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Felix Montenegro. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Daniel Zorita sped through Jucuitiba's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Doriva Figueiredo. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doriva Figueiredo. Doriva Figueiredo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.
