Kent Näver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Peder Alström came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Sören Gregersson sent off a good shot on target. Facundo Cadaval charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Facundo Cadaval the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st minute, Facundo Cadaval hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carl Kalfhage could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 23rd minute INIXET BK were awarded a corner. Tom Lövgren went to the cornerflag to take it. Tom Lövgren made a great header on INIXET BK's corner, it was just that Mexico's Dante Lacasa managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 26th minute of play forced INIXET BK's goalkeeper Kent Näver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kent Näver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Björn Pihlgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 38 minutes into the game, when Hans Wallin put in a rough tackle. 39 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of INIXET BK's Kent Näver. Kent Näver was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Kalfhage in the 43rd minute of play. The INIXET BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Kent Näver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 55th minute. Kent Näver made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Peder Alström kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alberto Tafalla took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kent Näver. Kent Näver dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Kent Näver made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Mexico booed when INIXET BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pål Svanberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Kent Näver successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Kent Näver threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kent Näver saved INIXET BK from getting behind. A collision led to INIXET BK getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Karl-Magnus Bergman hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carl Kalfhage during the 95th minute.
