Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristinel Mustățea went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 18th minute, Cristinel Mustățea made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 27 minutes into the match, Genio della Lampada FC's Cristinel Mustățea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Genio della Lampada FC's Cristinel Mustățea. But to his dismay, Cristinel Mustățea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 何沙铮, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute of the match 何沙铮 shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis De Rossi in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Genio della Lampada FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 何沙铮 to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 41st minute of play forced Genio della Lampada FC's goalkeeper Joélson de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristinel Mustățea in the 45th minute of play. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristinel Mustățea was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joélson de Azevedo saved Genio della Lampada FC from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristinel Mustățea, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 63rd minute 何沙铮 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 何沙铮 in the 66th minute of play. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Dennis De Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute Frank Pich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Cristinel Mustățea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Genio della Lampada FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
