Alberto Tafalla had several of the FCB team's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Adrian Železný as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Adrian Železný in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Adrian Železný firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pieterjan Vanneste in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Adrian Železný in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th match minute, FCB team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Van Espen to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pieterjan Vanneste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sabastian 尉迟 took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 62nd minute of play forced FCB team's goalkeeper Adrian Železný to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Mexico booed when FCB team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Artizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian Železný showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, FCB team's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Adrian Železný reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 76th minute of play forced FCB team's goalkeeper Adrian Železný to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Aaron Van Espen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Adrian Železný tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Adrian Železný was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Železný having to interfere. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
