The throw-in from Ingvar Vestberg in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Macoma Yoldia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilmer Månsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kent Juhlin scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Juhlin in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match Macoma Yoldia got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sakarias Asklöv ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jairo de Andrade made a great header on Macoma Yoldia's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Erland Österberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Kent Juhlin sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Erland Österberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 29th minute of play. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a Macoma Yoldia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, Kent Juhlin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Macoma Yoldia's Kent Juhlin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 4-0 after 38 minutes of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Juhlin in the 43rd minute of play. When Wilmer Månsson came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Macoma Yoldia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilmer Månsson couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Juhlin came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Macoma Yoldia booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd minute of the match Sakarias Asklöv shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 54th minute, Jairo de Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 59th minute Jairo de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilmer Månsson in the 61st minute of the match. Macoma Yoldia's Wilmer Månsson got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute Jairo de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erland Österberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Kent Juhlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macoma Yoldia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kent Juhlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Kent Juhlin came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Macoma Yoldia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kent Juhlin couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Juhlin in the 76th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Erland Österberg made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo de Andrade in the 93rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Macoma Yoldia's Ingvar Vestberg got a free kick in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Macoma Yoldia fully deserved thier win.
