The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Malcolm Kruuse was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 6th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, JKs Talanger's Linus Backlund got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Malcolm Kruuse. Malcolm Kruuse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. JKs Talanger's Malcolm Kruuse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute of play. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Malcolm Kruuse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, JKs Talanger's Linus Backlund got a free kick in the 32nd minute. When JKs Talanger's Bengt Hamberg in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bengt Hamberg to make the kick off. Niklas Bagge's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niklas Bagge helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ecuador booed when JKs Talanger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Bagge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute of the match, Cristian Sancho got a very nice opportunity to score, but Malcolm Kruuse was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Malcolm Kruuse came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 78th minute. Daniel Abrahamsson's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Abrahamsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Malcolm Kruuse. The goal made the score 0-6. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
