An unexpectedly hard shot by 严荣常 in the 80th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 钱霆昂 might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Zorita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 钱霆昂 ran back to his position shaking his head. If 姚景辰 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 汪默博 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 汪默博 in the 96th minute of play. The El Salvador supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing El Salvador would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
