An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 2nd minute of play forced Topsail's goalkeeper Bill Carmichael to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bill Carmichael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Topsail's Bill Carmichael. Bill Carmichael was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Topsail's Dawid Kochowski. But to his dismay, Dawid Kochowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Wendell Conn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Wendell Conn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dawid Kochowski in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bill Carmichael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 24th minute of the match. Sondang Prabowo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Topsail's Bill Carmichael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 33rd minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dawid Kochowski made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dawid Kochowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Carmichael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bill Carmichael yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Facundo Cadaval managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With 96 minutes on the clock, Facundo Cadaval commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Mexico played a much better game than Topsail and deserved their victory. The Topsail players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
