Afiz Teo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Victor Chan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute of play forced Redbourn AFC's goalkeeper Afiz Teo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 15 minutes into the match, Redbourn AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Afiz Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Chan got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jonathan Soon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afiz Teo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Didi Teo charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Didi Teo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Didi Teo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Redbourn AFC's Didi Teo got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Chan was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Shafiq Chien-Kwan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Redbourn AFC's Afiz Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 61st minute of play. Hidayat Peng kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 64 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Victor Chan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Afiz Teo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute. If Jonathan Soon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hidayat Peng in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Redbourn AFC were awarded a corner. Shafiq Chien-Kwan went to the cornerflag to take it. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Chan in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. When Redbourn AFC's Victor Chan, in the 83rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Redbourn AFC. In the 85th minute, Hidayat Peng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Afiz Teo made a huge save. 92 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Redbourn AFC the free kick. After 92 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Redbourn AFC fully deserved thier win.
