In the 3rdth minute of the game Jose Policarpio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. La Mora CAT's Marc-André Grifoll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play forced La Mora CAT's goalkeeper Marc-André Grifoll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marc-André Grifoll tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc-André Grifoll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 35 minutes, Du Jian Chen made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play forced La Mora CAT's goalkeeper Marc-André Grifoll to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Policarpio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Marc-André Grifoll stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Policarpio made a kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Policarpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Marc-André Grifoll in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 56th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. La Mora CAT's Marc-André Grifoll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Policarpio in the 62nd minute of play. Marc-André Grifoll showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Gaucho in the 65th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc-André Grifoll having to interfere. La Mora CAT made a substitution. Tato Feria replaced Du Jian Chen. In the 72nd minute Ronaldinho Gaucho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Tato Feria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Tato Feria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc-André Grifoll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Marc-André Grifoll managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. La Mora CAT's Marc-André Grifoll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 93rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tato Feria in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
