After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Erasmo Lorencio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Severino Hulberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rivermania FC's Severino Hulberto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Rivermania FC's Rosendo Flor in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rosendo Flor struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rivermania FC. Severino Hulberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Rivermania FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Flor in the 58th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rosendo Flor, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Victor Bazkoare didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Rivermania FC's goalkeeper Severino Hulberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Rivermania FC's Severino Hulberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 91st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ana Tatangelo's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rivermania FC had played much better football throughout.
