The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joris De Raeve in the 4th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sean Van Dijck saved Limburg United from getting behind. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. 18 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Fredrik Terwenhout came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Fredrik Terwenhout had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fredrik Terwenhout was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brend Vanden Driessche, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Sean Van Dijck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sean Van Dijck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 30th minute of the match. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. Froilan Abar, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Terwenhout, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Sean Van Dijck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 48th minute of play forced Limburg United's goalkeeper Sean Van Dijck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fredrik Terwenhout went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Limburg United got a freekick which was hit by Pieter-Maarten Van Beets. 67 minutes into the match, Limburg United's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Sean Van Dijck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Terwenhout in the 68th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Sean Van Dijck to make any attempt to save it.
