Generoso Egun got a throw-in 35 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Salvador Romelio. In the 36th minute, Arturo Christobal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Arturo Christobal was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Luckas Baert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
