In the 4th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Ţipirig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Kevin Carballal hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Kevin Carballal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Yboy Black's Eduard Muscă got a free kick in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yboy Black's zone, Camilo Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gheorghe Ţipirig came out of the goal and Camilo Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Aron Ţintea sent off a good shot on target. Gheorghe Ţipirig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 40th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Carballal. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Aron Ţintea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yboy Black's supporters rose to their feet, but Aron Ţintea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the game, Camilo Franco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gheorghe Ţipirig. Camilo Franco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. 82 minutes into the match, Aron Ţintea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aron Ţintea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Aron Ţintea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Iordache Jităreanu in the 87 minute of the game. In the 88th minute of the game Iordache Jităreanu made a throw-in which Cosmin Mardare played forward. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Yboy Black was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henric Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 90th minute of play forced Yboy Black's goalkeeper Gheorghe Ţipirig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uruguay's attentive Alberto Gisbert managed to snatch the ball when Iordache Jităreanu made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Gheorghe Ţipirig made a huge save.
