Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bianco Doris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessandro Ronconi in the 5th minute. Basaldella AFC were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Federico Alessandro took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Federico Alessandro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Basaldella AFC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bianco Doris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Alessandro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Ronconi in the 31st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Federico Alessandro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Federico Alessandro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ennio Bertini scored 1-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bianco Doris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Basaldella AFC's Bianco Doris got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bianco Doris having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Bianco Doris however easily saved by the left post. 64 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bianco Doris. Basaldella AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Bianco Doris made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Basaldella AFC's Bianco Doris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Bianco Doris made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bianco Doris. That made the score 1-3 in the 86 minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bianco Doris. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. After having played for 95 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Basaldella AFC throughout the match.
